Internet Transit Planner, developed by the GeoGraphics Laboratory
at Bridgewater State College using Department of Transitional
Assistance funding, helps determine whether a person can take
public transit to work, childcare, and education and training
programs. To use this service just click on the appropriate regional
transit authority and type in the origin address, click search,
and then type in the destination address and click search. The
resulting map will show the location of the nearest transit route(s)
to the origin and destination location. Click on the route using
the icon
and it will show the route name. Go to the transit authority’s
website to see the route schedule and any additional information.
For the MBTA click on the link and then go to the Trip Planning
section of the MBTA Home Page. If you have any questions about
the program, please call an AtJ staff member at 1.781.895.1100.
